Suppose you find a person
who can see your faults,
A wise person
who rebukes you –
You should associate
with such a person,
For it is better,
not worse,
to be with him,
That one who
as if reports
hidden treasure.
He would exhort,
he would instruct,
He would restrain you
from discourteous practice,
Such a person is
beloved of the good,
but reviled by the bad.
Do not associate with
a bad friend,
a despicable person,
One should instead
associate with
A good friend,
the best of people.
